I use an Audigy 2 Platinum sound card with the front bay for headphones/microphones (its too handy of a device to stop using) and every time i jump into a 2142 game, 2142 forces my microphone port in my recording options in windows from Line-in 2/Mic 2 to the Microphone port, and since I dont have a mic plugged in there. the game doesnt hear me until I alt tab out and set it back properly.
Normally I'd suffer through this, but 2142 isnt alt tab friendly and after a few alt-tabs, I just get a black screen forcing me to ctrl-alt-del the program and reconnect to fight again with the mic settings.
Anyone know how to tell BF2142 to not change this setting?
