- How the hell does people find time to play?
That sounds really nice and idealistic but it's also pretty vague. Are you saying that you're an investor? What do you do for the three days a week that you work?bobroonie.bda wrote:
I believe in, get a job SAVE money, invest that money, and make money work for me. This gives me free time to do as i wish.
i can
1. CHOOSE to get a job. work my own hours. find something i WANT to do that fits MY schedule.
2. Not living pay check to pay check.
3. actually have money in my account, so if i wanted to take a month or 2 off work, so be it.
4. Live for me and no one else. be happy...

I don't know how anybody could play this much. I have school and work, I only have play a little bit a week. I almost never play Mondays, I play a little bit Tuesdays, never on Wednesdays, a little on Thursdays, just about a half hour on Fridays, a few hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
you got it m8T0rr3nt wrote:

If my parents didn't treat me like a 2 year old (shit even mourning_w00d plays more) then I'd probably be Master Gunnery by now.
My buddie has his own company, Cunningham electric.. I asked him for a job he hooked me up.. pays under the table. I work for a friend so what ever days I want off or hours i want to work he's cool with that. Working for your friend and working a good trade is cool with me.xintegrityx wrote:

I made my real money working cable and buying houses. I saved 13,000, bought my first home. 3 years later i had 2 houses and made 10 fold my initial investment. Sold a few houses reinvested a chunk of my money in a company that pays a 10% annual yield it pays in a pay check every month, cutting my bills down to nearly nothing. So this gives me the freedom to not have to work hard 5 days a week to make money and save. Since I'm already in the realestate game I just wait around till I find another property to buy, when the investment time is right. Pull my money out and invest it into property.
If you have a car payment, pay it off quick. If your car payment is more then your rent / mortgage, you really need to look at your priorities.
If you are interested in the investment company to earn an annual yield this is the website.
http://www.pparealestate.com/
They take 10,000 increments,
so forinstance
100,000 x 10% = 10,000 / 12 = 833.33$ a month as a check in your mail box every month..
Do now what others are not willing to do, so later on in life you can do what others can't afford.
Its not how much money you make, but how you invest the money you save..
Your Credit is more important then how much you make or how much money you have.
You dont need money if you have Great Credit... OPM... Other Peoples Money.....
I just can't play a single game 3-4 hours a day for 16 months straight. Yea that's the math, 1450-2000 hours average 3-4 hours a day since launch. Like 55 days of your life, with sleep. Even if I was agoraphobic and a complusive neurotic. Is just much of one game.
Your girlfriend, sorry to say, is doing alot more "bunny hopping" than you my friend, also Im sorry to tell you that the 2,000 hours the guy has under his belt, ISN't with just BF2, he's got some hours with your girlfriend as wellTor77 wrote:
I have a job and a girlfriend. She lives in London so we don't see each other that much, which basically leaves the weekends open for more gaming. I have family and friends I try to see when I can and I have hobbies and work out on the side. Still, I can cram in 2 hours+ a day during the week days for BF2.
The guy with the highest score in our clan (stats: http://bf2s.com/player/49529957/) has almost 2,000 hours under his belt. And he is unemployed.
just kidding, I play about 2 hours a day, maybe 3 so generally about 4-6 rounds
where did you find that picture of me?^*AlphA*^ wrote:

I'm sorry man, I just couldn't let this one slide.
Man, that's just sad.
How about working "about" 5 days a week and save MORE money. How much money would you spend if you used your gaming days on actually contributing to society? If you spent 2 more days at work; would you use your salary at your job? What, do you work at a brothel or something? Where's the logic?bobroonie.bda wrote:

Hahaha! Yes, I "believe" in working or going to school. That "belief" will pay for a home and bring your kids to college, cover your medical expenses and make sure you have a nice life when you get old! Geez. It's funny how alot of you "assume" because we have alot of time in a game that we
1. have no lives
2. live at home
3. no girls, or friends
Life is.. how can I put this.. different for everyone. Some people believe in working or going to school.
Basically, have a quality of life that expands beyond living in a trailer. Work for someone else? Do you have a problem with authority? Sticking it to da man, are we? Christ.Basicly get a job and work for money, buy toys, go into debt. work more make more money get into bigger debt. Go to school, spend money for school go into debt. get an education, AND WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE....
OK, so let me get this straight. You - from what it seems - have NO education and NO willing to work and you expect to actually INVEST? I'm sorry, how is weather like at Planet Utopia? Fuck man. How will working a low salary job - which you must have - get you enough money to "invest" and "make money work for you"? You talk like your a retired investment banker!I believe in, get a job SAVE money, invest that money, and make money work for me. This gives me free time to do as i wish.
Aaaaaand THANK YOU for proving the stereotype of gamers. You hardly work, you have no will to work, you talk as if job and education is a waste of time and you love to be by yourself and just game all day long. You have been gaming for 20 years so I would assume you're 30+.i can

wow, I take it you did not read my other post?
Dude I make more money then most people do and i only work 3 to 4 days a week. In fact, if i dont work I still make more money then most people, haha.. And I live a good happy life...
I'm an electrician, how do I not make good money?
Unlike you, I tried to help my bf2 buddies in my other post by giving helpfull advice. You like others to try and tell me what im doing wrong even though I have been very successfull in life thus far.
You keep working hard buddy, go to school so people like myself can hire you. I need a good smart guy to do my work for me.
I tell you what, pick up a copy of "rich dad, poor dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Awesome book about Life and money. its cheap and an easy book to read. Yes us dumb guys with no formal edumacation knows hows to red them books now yea hear.

I get home, do homework, eat supper, play BF2 for about 1.5 hours. Do that about 3-4 days a week.
Any further answer to that is in vain; he killed you.You keep working hard buddy, go to school so people like myself can hire you. I need a good smart guy to do my work for me.
I don't have 250 hours, but I'm damn close... My thing is that I suffer from insomnia (yes, I've ACTUALLY been diagnosed with it), and I play at like, 2-4am. It's something to fight off the boredom. So yeah, that's how I put in my hours. Though your SPM and KDR may suffer because you freqently lose interest in the game. But don't worry about hours, it's not like it REALLY matters.
