Can somebody explain to me why this is a bannable offense on some servers? I don't personally do it since I enjoy living, but I don't see what exactly is wrong with it. Could somebody explain to me why so many people complain about it and why it's a bannable offense?

Are you serious?! Wow, I can't wait until the day where they will kick you for capturing a point that the other team just finished capturing... Or for when an enemy steals a friendly jet when you're right next to it... Or even simply for killing somebody.... I can't believe how many whiners are in this fucking game.

Jihad: The process of strapping C4 to a fast moving vehicle with the intent of Ramming a Tank/APC or any other threat that may be present. This usually results in the death of the "Jihader" as well as the target.
Personally, I'll trade my life to take down a Tank thats causing severe damage to my team.... That being said, I've goten quite good at bailing out of my Jeep, ATV, or DPV geting clear of the blast and then setting off the C4.

You show skill...most jihaders are simply suicides who sometimes actually kill the other team. We don't ban 'em, but we warn people that if you continually are dying, you clearly do not have sufficient skill in this arena and ask that you don't continue.Impaqt wrote:

Show some damn style and live through a jeep shot...any noob can blow you and themselves up...which is being demonstrated practically in the Middle East daily. It takes MUCH more skill to survive...
It's not hard to stop jihadders if you are in a tank. It's pretty easy to shoot your machine gun at the driver of a DPV, and it's even easier to shell a humvee. The hard part is being aware of the cars coming at you. Which is why it's so damn frustrating. You can be sitting there having a tank battle, right before you get the kill, you just blow up. So concentrated on getting those long range shots to be accurate, and boom, you're dead.
I did a jihad the other day on a fairly full 50 man karkand server, just because this guy was being ridiculous... he had a car following him as engineer, a guy riding on top as engineer (he wasn't moving often, just spawn raping) and 2 apcs riding up beside him. I drove a humvee up behind them, bailed out, and was rewarded with 6 kills. I mean ffs, 6 engineers sitting that close together, what else could've killed them? nothing less of a suicidal mission. (except I didn't die )

I honestly don't have a problem with Jihads, it's their strategy, find your own to stop them.
Think about this though.
To have been killed by a jihad, you had to have been on the ground. (Unless you're talking about jet ramming... That is annoying.).
But, moving on....
If the jihad killed you, they were most likely in a jeep.
If you were on foot, well, you did something wrong .
If you were in a tank/APC, you did something wrong, or are a bad shot.

A thought: People complain about jihad-jeeping because it kills you. Well, running crazy at a tank with a SRAW is likely to kill you too, but people don't bitch about SRAWs, do they?

jihad in arabic = a holy struggle or striving by a Muslim for a moral or spiritual goal.
back to the subject, some server are proud to accept jihaders, I actually got my vet spec ops on warlord by jihading ATV and pickup truck, it was fun!
Jihad is a bannable offense on some servers because DICE created a BFROE against Jihading because it is a gameplay exploit. Overall I personally feel jihading is an exploit and takes away from the gameplay experience on all sides. Armor should not be that easy to kill and furthermore nothing annoys me more than trying to get some viable transport for my squad only to be denied said transport by some jackass strapping C4 on to it.
DICE has said on multiple occasions that jihading is an unintentional gameplay element that they cannot actually fixed within the game engine (so they claim) without breaking the legitimate usage of C4. If they were to make it so C4 could no longer stick to vehicles many legitimate uses of C4 would be broken (such as sticking multiple packs on the side of an enemy tank and detonating them at once).
C4 is meant to be powerful yet as a balancing feature it has extremely limited range and a slow deployment. This has been made very clear as DICE has nerfed the C4 chucking multiple times though it wasn't nearly as unbalanced as jihading is.
I have no respect for jihaders and I put them in the same lame group of players that runs around on 24/7 Karkand suicide dropping claymores in the alleys.

I find jihading fun really. I find it the most fun when I can use an ATV to do it with. The ATV is best for me because heading full speed at a tank/vehicle I can jump off and it will coast for a good distance. Sadly I got kicked from a server I regularly play the other day because I didnt know it was against the rules.
I don't understand why msot of them kill themselves in the process that doesn't even get you points.
I jihad, I find it fun and I wont just jihad armour, if I see a group of people I'll go straight into them bail out then bang! Their all dead. Yeah, maybe it doesn't take no skill but I don't play this game to get "skills" on it, I play for fun.
Yep, i just started it doing it full time on jalalabad maps..because I CAN. If Dice doesn't want it happening, then they need to reduce the volatility of C4 and require a detonation to set it off. As for exploiting, how? Last i checked, exploiting was done to gain unfair advantage. If I die and get negative points, then I'm being fairly dealt with..and further, I can get kicked if i develop a negative score.

You get to do a selfless act (that cannot be replicated by any other team player) by blowing up enemies by sacrificing yourself..unless of course you can bail in time.wah1188 wrote:

Compare going 40-0 in a tank on warlord to doing so in a jet or chopper on kubra dam: you don't need much skill to drive it, kill people, or survive the occasional random AT dude. If you can get a score like that in a jet or chopper, you must've practiced a hell of a lot - with tanks, you just need to learn a few ground rules. Raping mostly defenceless infantry is easy. You get your kills the easy way, you die the easy way. I haven't been shot down by AA in a jet in months, even though people are often saying how overpowered it is. You know how? I practiced. Same goes for tanks. If there are jihad jeeps around, don't park your tank in the middle of a road and turn your back on 18 ways for an ATV to drive up your ass.
