does anyone know a website where i can find out how many points a player gets when he/she gets badges, ribbons, pins etc

but its doesn't say how many extra points you get for earning the respective badge, ribbon, pin.

The difference between global points and career points is as follows.

Global points are those the "pure" points from kills, flag work, heals, revives, resupplies and repairs etc.
IE when you press tab and look at your score you are looking at global points.

Career points are for progression of your rank. IE the points you get for pins, badges and ribbons, the commander and squad success, AND your global points, all count for career points.

When the round ends, the "outcome" page will show you your global and career points.

global score = the points you get round by round, picture it being just like bf2.
career points = this takes in two factors a.) your global score b.) the additional points you get for badge bonus points, squad activity, pins, ribbons, all that.

so it is typical for a player to have let's say a 700 global score but a 1000 career score, since the 1000 career score is 700 + 300 (the 300 is from bonuses).

your career score is what determines your rank.

what? global points dont count towards a new rank? thats weird

Yes, they do. All bonus points (badges, ribbons, away points (points for not playing BF2142), squad member points, squad leader points.....) PLUS global points (kills, flag captures.....). The total of these points give you your rank.

can anyone explain the "Commander score/points"??? which are shown in the summary screen - it doesnt seem like they are added to your total like the kill/heal/flag capture and the squad bonus and badges/pins score

sorry if this has been covered above but i couldnt figure it out

they are, it just splits it up at the end so you can see how much you got and where/how i guess

That would be the logical answer. However, as it's EA we're dealing with, it's the other way around.

global points = score in a round

career points = global points + points for pins, etc.
