No, it's not an unlock, but a handy tool anyway.

People, just be aware. If you're attacking a Titan, take note of what your team mates are doing. If someone plans to use Det Packs in attacking a Titan they should be able to do their job without the fear of blowing up retarded team mates. Likewise with the reactor core. When I plant all my Det Packs in the core, it doesn't mean I want half the team to have a party in the reactor room, it means it's time to get the fuck out. The occasion I am referring to I warned people TWICE in big blocky capital letters and after two huge warnings and no reaction, you bet I blew up the Reactor and every fucking last one of those ignorant arseholes. Most, if not all punished.

So please, realise that the best way to destroy reactors and consoles is by using Det Packs, and thus, people will be planting them. Show your brain-power by not being one of those taken out in the blast, because if it is me or someone like me doing the explosive work, I will give you fair warning, but if you do not heed these warnings I WILL blow you the fuck up. A kick/ban is nothing to the satisfaction I feel by ridding the 2142 gene pool of people who's brain power deems them unfit to be alive anyway.

If you do not heed this seemingly obvious warning, adjectives will be used, and they will be used harshly.

Agreed. It's like every single noob (and some BF2 veterans) seem to crowd the reactor core when its gonna get blown up by C4. It's like they think the core is some magical teleporter that will teleport them to some magic land where they can show off their 1337 skills. I don't understand why the don't move the fuck out when they see a few bricks with skulls over them attached to the core or console. That's the main reason I play FF off on Titan mode....it covers up the stupidity of noobs.

Remember, noobs think that the skull and crossbones is a powerup.

I've actually had a few ppl move away when I plant det packs, but thats usually because all the noobs die before we reach the consoles.

this is a major problem... too many stupid people. whenever im in the titan i rarely even look at the consoles or the core, i just cover the doorways and let the team blow them up. it makes attacking the titan much more successful.

if you dont have anything that blows big, just kill all the enemy infantry in a safe distance from the consoles and core. let the explosive experts do their job.

The problem is everyone wants to be the one to blow up the core/consoles for that shiny bonus point. So they ignore/filter out everything that's going on around them (kinda like what you do when your wife it nagging at you to pick your underwear off the bedroom floor while you're watching the big game/trying to play 2142) and shoot at the core. They're hope is that everyone will help bring the core/console down to near zero and they'll be the one to get the final shot in earning them one huge point.

The fact that people just don't care doesn't help. They don't care about your score or that their causing you to accumulate TK's. When it happens all they've got in their head is "WTF he teamkilled ME That fucker! *punish*" Never does the fact that THEY ran in front of YOUR vehicle or line of sight occur to them. Only that YOU killed THEM.

That's why I like playing in servers where there's always admin that I know on. That way I don't get kick/banned for killing them (and neither does anyone else), and people that punish for stupid shit that is their fault or are acting like douche bags get auto kicked (and/or banned in certain cases).

When I'm Recon, I try to play on FF = OFF servers as much as I can because of these ignorant Punishers..
Sometimes it can happen that you Teamkill someone (don't ask me how - 'cause I don't understand it either) but at least they don't have the Punish-option..

This is one of the reasons I've swapped to engineer when attacking. It doesnt do as much damage with the missles, but at least I dont have to worry about tk's. Plus i've already got my gold attack badge for 40 consoles, so a lot of the time I just sit in the rafters and spray and pray

In defence of the noobs, it took me a few deaths to realise how big the blast radius was with the det-packs. I first though that standing a little out of the way was good enough. No it wasn't. Never punish for that though.

The best Titan noob thing I have seen was a player in his own Titan trying to destroy a console. Not only did he not realise that he was in his own Titan, he didn't notice the blue icons. He then proceeded to complain about the games bugs and glitches. I left him a couple of minutes before informing him of his mistake.

there are buttloads of noobs in karkand in BF2, there are even more noobs in warlord, and there will always be noobs and ignorant people in any FPS.

noobs and the ammo bag from a support kit have one thing in common: they never run out.

i stopped playing BF 2 or any Battlefield game because of this.

Wow I have the same problem. So many abusive players on 2142 its unbelievable. From people that just steal a jeep or apc when there are tons of guys requesting pick ups, people that will refuse to gun , and only fly, or people that wont take off till you get out of the gunner seat for thier buddy.

That said, admin abuse annoys me more. I took the tank from a main spawn on belgrade and an admin kick/banned me because he wanted it.

Better solution don't play titan? I just don't play it because of retarted lag, just somehow 2142 lags just too bad, I can't play titan and server up to 32 player will cuz everything to lag with lower settings then I had in BF2!!!
