Hi all,
been playing BF2 for the last 12 months and thought I'd have a look at the 2142 Demo.
Now its installed and loads up to the log in screen....

I was stumped as to whether I create a new account or try my BF2 loggin. anyway tried to do both, but it just sits there hanging with the connecting to EA master server message up. After a long time it then says connection lost, all my fire walls are set to let it have access etc..

any comments would be appreciated.

You need to login with an EA account (same as EA Downloader/Link account)

it goes like this

EA Account > BF2142 profiles.

simple enough, da?
both are very different though.

You cannot use your BF2 login as the "EA Account" login. You can have multiple 2142 profiles under that one EA account though.

now i'll have to rack my brain to remember my EA account.

hmm
still no go and I created a new "VALID" EA account.
must be an issue at my end, doesn't seem to be able to connect to the EA master server or somthing like that

I just created a completly random name and it worked.

yeah, that happens. if you can, try and make one on the EA website itself. it might help if you didn't do that.
