I blew up myself with a TV missile!!!!

Ok, this has happened over 10 times to me now in a couple of months!!!

I was gunning in a chopper in dalian (Now what a surprise) and had an average pilot flying for me.
We were approaching main entrance and i spotted the enemy chopper for the pilot to line me up.
He does that, I fire a death bringer against the chopper...Now comes the fun part..

As you know there are not many seconds to think while you´re aiming it in so thats why this happened..
My thoughts during 3 seconds:

1. Hmm..wtf its not the same terrain anymore but there is the chopper, "click, click..mmmm.beeer.......

2. Oh, they have a Chinese chopper, how is that possible....ah..fried chicken....

3. Wait, wait...Chinese chopper, our airfield can be seen behind... Its MY chopper!!!!!

4.McGYVEEEEEEEER....BOOOOOMM!!!!!!! We are dead...and worst of all... I shot that missile...

This has happened many times now, so now I can write about it... How the hell is it possible to shoot yourself, it´s kinda like taking control of the enemy choppers missile...

They were also like "wtf just happened???" So they saw the same thing but the other gunner didn't hit himself, for once it was good that the gunner was crap!!!!!

But he explained to me the same, he was shooting his missile against himself!!!!

How the hell can this be possible, someone smarter than me will get +1 for the explanation!!!!!

I bet that there are other gunners out there that has had these same bugs!!!

Damn, never had that one happen to me. All I can say is it's ANOTHER (*gasp*) bug in BF2.

OMG! I had the same glitch happen to me, except the missile didn't kill me. I fired it, the screen went all fuzzy and grey, a second later, I was in someone elses missile camera, and he guided it and hit a blackhawk, 6 kills for him. After that I said "WTF" about 600 times. While saying WTF I proceeded to kill that guy's z10. Weird sh1t...

I had a similar expierience yesterday I was solo gunning (w00t) And I fired my TV missle and saw my own chopper? WTF?? and then I got blown up..like WTF M8?

admin abuse....admins have the power to change the team ur on without you dieing or anything...you can be in a chopper with a teammate and he swiatches you and then u are gunning/piloting with ur enemy!! (also thats how you transport the tank onto the carrier

Good for me, I don't think I've hit anything with the TV. Ever. No matter how I click and try to steer it steers a bit and crashes into the ground or a wall. Atleast I won't kill myself...

Wow never come across this in my 40 hours in the chopper. Im often on Gator, about 50% of the time in the chopper and TV'ing and havent encountered this.

I wonder if its some glitch where maybe the TV missiles actually hit each other and then somehow switches the camera view for the gunners? So youd end up flying the enemies TV missile.

Admin abuse, eh? That's IMHO quite the b.s. For one, I havent seen a button for insta-switch in bf2cc yet (those who have used it more, enlighten me), but one for "switch to (insert army here) at next death".

If it happens in mid-air, and only against other choppers also firing TV-missiles, I find it hard to believe that it's admin abuse, but a glitch.

Just a guess, but if both missiles are fired around the same time, it could be that the Server screws up, and switches control of the missiles. I would guess a glitch.

However, just last night a humvee took my chopper out in less than a second. I heard a big boom, death, and it says a humvee did it... on sharqi? I had no idea what the hell happened.

i experienced this two times, but fortunately didn´t kill myself. i shoot the tv and it flew out of the backside of the chopper, not the front... strange bugfield...

I once spotted a chopper on Dalian, told my gunner to line me up, he see's it and does so, so I take my shot, somethin feels weird when the tv missle is half way to the other chopper, last 2 seconds I think "something is really wrong" 1 second to contact "OH FUCK!!!!!!!!!!".........

it was another Z-10!!!!!!! I nearly dropped off my chair and ROFL'D, my pilot (my nephew) was sittin next to me usin the same desk, and he couldnt breathe for a few seconds from laughing so hard and he started droolin and shit, man it was funny just think about it...use your imagination lol

I've not had that bug before. I've had both TV and regular missiles firing out the SIDE of the chopper before though, which looks kinda cool but makes it virtually impossible to kill anything. I've also shot myself out of a jet a number of times which is a royal pain in the ass. For some reason if you try gunning down a jet thats about an inch in front of you, you end up killing yourself, leaving you waiting around at the runway for 5 minutes waiting for your now unmanned jet to crash itself.
