Before you tell me to post in the guides, FAQ section i can gladly say I CAN'T POST THERE.
and shortcut for words like

SL= Squad leader
SM=Squad member

The squad system is a lot different from the one in BF2 so be sure to use it good.

Well you guys who come from BF2 should read this to I seen a lot of people who signed up for this veteran and still not placing order, for you new people who play this game this is a must read if you gonna play around as SL.

1. First of all why should you be a squad leader?
Simple as SM you will get team points if your lovely SL put out orders plus he will get squadleaderpoint bonus, which add more points to your squad bar. Which in other hand will give you a unlock free on that server until you leave or quit. These do not stay if you switch server. You get a lot more points for this than going solo, trust me unless you are in a walker on infantry map and every enemy don't bother to take you out. Second is that you get squad assist bonus if you kill enemy's close to your sqaudleader or if a member do this. You will get more points if you play as a team, its not really possible now to take out 3 people you jump out and think its BF2. You don't, OK.

I'm not sure how many points you need to get for these squad unlocks but I can tell you that if you have a full squad with teamwork those will just be rolling in. What I know you only get these squad points if you put out ORDERS.

Now about those SL toys

One thing you can only have one and can only be used by SL

1.Squad Leader spawn beacon. 1+ members
This tool is really good unless the SL decides to stay back and let people spawn on him. This tool is a must if your squad is missing a Medic with pads. Great tool only that SL need to get it otherwise it's useless or the last SM or SL that spawn on it destroy it and let a support give you a new one. IF you place this one inside titan it you will spawn there without need of going through pod and if you place it outside close to a wall it will most likely not work because you need to have a clear landing place. So far this one is the best one out of these 3, you have sentry turret as support and that one is annoying.

2. UAV drone. 2+members
Haven't seen this one in action and don't really know if it's that good, anyone can tell me if this tool is usefully? Also these can get stuck in corners also it has lower detecting range than the commanders UAV but this drone is on until destroyed.

3. Sentry drone. 3+Members
Well haven't been able to test it or seen it in action but I know its easy to take down, also they get stuck  around corners. It will also tell you where you are and I believe it will only shoot on the stuff your SM see through netbat system.

Now what kind of members should be in the squad.

2 Support
2 Medics
1-2 engineers for taking out those damn tanks and walker
Recon is not really necessary unless you really wanna be able to take out those damn snipers ahead.

Now to all you people out there who decides to be a SL and not put out orders you shouldn't be squad leader.
Last note: if you see a squad with the name "TEAMWORK" on you can expect teamwork if its [DFK] members in it.

You guys wanna know why I posted this? Simple I see lots of squad who don't put out order but play as a squad, the SL really lose many points there. Second is I see lots of squad but only few members and never have orders. Third is I see full/half squad with order but player don't bother to do it because they just use SL as spawn beacon or they are spread out on the map.

You veterans and new people did you even read the newbie guide about this game? did you even bother to check up useful stuff? or did you just check up your friendly exploit site? Did you even bother to read about the new stuff that was added?

1. It is only attack and defend orders that give squad bonus points. Move orders don't have any effect. Especially important for all those smurfalicious commanders and squad leaders that don't know how to put either of the two correctly (press the Right Mouse Button (RMB) on different spots around the silo/flag icon until the order changes from "Move" to "attack" (enemy flag/silo) or "defend" (friendly flag/silo)). You can give fuzzy move orders till your fingers bleed and all squad members walked holes into their shoes, if you want points you give offensive or defensive orders.

2. The unlocks [...] are called "Field Upgrades". Call them by their names please.

Also, as Veng already said: You should definitely spend some time on making that text better readable. Rework the structure, remove typos, language and grammar errors and try to use punctuation where it belongs.

Beyond that it's a good idea to write such a guide and you made a commendable attempt there.
I don't fully agree though because in my opinion it it takes more than that to be a good squadleader and there's some stuff I have a different idea of, i.e. the members a squad should consist of.

Edit: *cough* Typo *cough*

I have all of the Squad Leader unlocks and I have to say the Spawn beacon is the most useful, I haven't used the Scout all that much but it is fairly useful, the big problems is it basically just gives away your position way to quickly which is sad because it pretty much neutralizes any benefit it gives you.

It is however VERY useful if you like to ride around in vehicles all the time, especially tanks as it gives away the position of all the troops around you trying to C7 your ass. and it can keep up to you at any speed.

Now the Drone Gun is a different story, I very much regret unlocking it, I find it quite useless. It dies too easy, it doesn't kill worth a shit and it basically paints a bullseye on your squad. Not to mention the fact that you have to have 3 other people in your squad which rarely happens unless you are playing with friends, make Alpha squad, or invite people in.

In all the time I've used it I think I've kill maybe 1 or 2 people with it. I say unlock the Beacon and just use a squad upgrade to get the Scout and forget about the Sentry, it's not worth it. Even if you are driving around in a Tank of Battlewalker it really doesn't seem to give much defense, I'd rather see who was coming and blow them away with my cannon then have it slightly would the guy who just blew me up.

So in summery

Spawn Beacon: Great, Very useful. No regrets.

Scout Drone: Alright, it's somewhat useful. To many Cons to be worth a full unlock. Only use a Unlock on it if you happen to use vehicles alot, Otherwise just use a Field Upgrade.

Sentry Attack Drone: Nearly Useless. Don't unlock, if you have to try it just use a Field Unlock. It just makes you a bullseye and doesn't really provide much of a benefit.

I hope you guys found that useful. Feel free to add any of that to your guide if you want.

Here is a summary of squad points that I have made before.

For those of you who are confused with how to get squad points, here are some ways you can earn them.

#1 When an instructions are given by squad leader, you follow them. e.g. 'Move to this location', 'Attack this position'. When the instructions are followed and carried out near the instruction point, you will receive a point. Move order doesn't give any points, therefore, after moving to the point, squad leader needs to make sure that another order has been given to attack/defend the nearest flag.

#2 Kill an enemy when you are close to your squad leader. +1 point

#3 Kill an enemy who is near your squad leader. +1 point (Snipers, try to pick out the enemy who is attacking your squad leader. It works well)

#4 Heal, Repair, Resupply your squadmates. Usually awarded a squad point along with you heal, repair, ammo point.

Now time for squad leader success points.
#1 Give instructions so that your squad can get the squad point. Usually when they are given a point, you will be given one too.

#2 Follow your instructions as well, don't just sit back and relax. Do your job.

Hope this clarified some confusion.

EDIT: Update on Squad Point #1

If you shoot the drone what follows the SL and it blows up it kills the SL too.

Since when? I've never had this happen to me, maybe if the SL is low on heath but it shouldn't happen normaly.

The problem with being SL is the people that join your sqaud rarely stay together (same reason being commander sucks), unless you know the people in your squad.

Sure you can get lots of points, and you deserve them if you can get your squad members to follow your orders. Just like in BF2 people join/create squads just to have a place to spawn at and/or to be able to request commander assets. If you look at the minimap or command map, most of the time you'll see any squads you do have (usually not more than 2 or 3) have it's members spread out all over the place.

If you're commander or sqaud leader and try giving an order they are usually ignored. They might be acknowledged/accepted, but they are rarely carried out. People just give up and don't even bother issuing orders anymore.

When I am a squad leader here are my average points per squad member I have
1: 7
2: 13
3: 20
4: 36
5 (Max): 52

EDIT: For those of you who want to rank up fast, be a squad leader and have a competent squadmates. Also GIVE THE DAMN ORDERS so that YOU and your squadmates can enjoy some career points.

That is one of the things I consider being important for being a good squadleader. They won't mind telling members to stick to them and follow the orders (in clear, even harsh words) and they won't mind kicking them from the squad if they don't.
If a squad wants to make a difference, it depends on members that do what they're told.
In that guide, I also miss stuff like the use of at least VOIP for public servers where you can't have all squad members on TS/Ventrilo. It is so vital for effective coordination and teamwork and many just seem to ignore it or even kick you from the squad if you use it. <--- *lol*

Squad Leaders will climb the ranks faster if they have a habit of issuing tactically correct orders. The same is true for Commanders. (38)

In my experience, the best way to use the Squad leader unlocks is this:

Beacon:

There are actually effective two ways to use this. One, you place it on your back flag, so when/if the enemy sneak in from behind, you won't be trudging from the nearest flag to try and capture it (Works very well on Cerbere Landing.). Two, place this somewhere before attacking a flag, prefferably from an angle that the enemies don't expect a constant stream of soldiers. Make sure you pick the beacon up or destroy it after you've captured the flag, otherwise it'll be a hinderance as all your squadmates spawn on the beacon rather than yourself.

Importante!

Make sure your beacon can actually spawn people before running away. While nothing like this will happen in a wide open space in the middle of a field, it can 'break' if placed by a building. So make sure the icon is green on the spawn point screen before running to attack. If it isn't green, pick it up with 'G' and place it elsewhere. Simple.

Otus:

My personal favorite, this thing is godly for defense. If you are going to defend a point, there is no better thing to use than an Otus. If anyone gets near the flag you're defending, you'll always know it. The same goes for the titan, you'll always know from where and how many enemies are coming. Like the beacon, the Otus can be tucked away if you want to hide, or don't want a "shoot me" sign over your head as you go prone behind that wall in Belgrade. It works like a much longer ranged 360 degree DysTek Pulsemeter, you can couple the two for a much quicker 'ping', hence making it neigh realtime updating.

All in all, very useful, if not a bit conspicuous.

Accipiter:

I haven't had much experience with this, and I've only recently taken it as a permenant unlock. However, whenever I use it, it's for offense. Its major downfall is that it requires either A: A tight knit squad, or B: A spotter, preferably a Recon with fade-delay. But no matter how you look at it, it's an offensive thing. On defense, you'll most likely shoot and kill what comes your way before this thing gets a lock, plus the Enforcer does a better job at defense anyway.

But the Accipiter works like a limited mobile enforcer gun, obviously, the Netbat lock was apparently a nerf, as an in-game tip I seen on it seemed to imply it would aquire targets for itself and 'Watch your squad's back'. Still, it has its uses... If you're creative enough.

personally im a big fan of the UAV drone. if im being stealthy id never use it, but for straight up ground pounding and killing goodness, i couldnt care less if ppl see me or not. i mean, if you're running accross a field ppl will see you...what difference does a little disc thing make?? it only makes a difference if you are sniping or trying to hide, as it does sorta put up a flag that says "hey! look!! im over here!!". but you shouldnt be concerned if you are just messing about assaulting. ive snuck up on so many unlucky bastards with that drone, as it has a decent radius for enemy detection. i especially love it when in a large squad, as if you're all cruising around in a big pack, your SMs can see the baddies and the baddies are no more..

i hate the gun drone thingie tho. what a POS>
