The Tv missilez are shit tho but 2142 is defintaely better.
BF2 is just that game that got fucked up when EA/Dice tried to create a masterpiece. its that abused child of BF1942. 2142 is that straight a child of 2142, sure there are minor problems, which are *gasp* BEING FIXED! BF2 has its ups, like SF but mostly its just a mutant offspring of 1942.

Imo BF2142 is better than BF2 for the moment but it got some problems but EA will most likely fix them.
Lots of things are more balanced but the Attack Chopper is a bit weaker than a normal chopper but due to it's auto seeking missle if they are close enough and if you aim at it.
TV missle is a bitch thou and it should be somewhat tweaked so it's easier to controll. Or have it own mouse speed if it doesn't have that.
Infantry battles are way better and way more dynamic because in BF2 you stick to the ground or one roof close to the flag. Except on some maps.
In BF2142 you can be on most floor tops, there are more places to get up to.
That makes it far better in infantry combat because it works like a real battlefield.
