Ok where to begin... So I arrived early sat morning, and about crapped my pants as our plane landed. We took a tour of the complex and met all the key people. Monday we had a few meetings with the directors of the park, nothing to exciting. We spent a majority of our time there laying out plans to help protect, and fund the future of the park.
On Tuesday is when all the exciting stuff happened. We ventured outside of the park and came upon several fresh carcasses. The guards we traveled with all carried aks or some variant. The whole mood changed as one of the people traveling in our convoy explained how unpredictable the poachers are. That was the second time in four days I almost crapped my pants.
Africa is the pretty place I have ever traveled to. I wish both my camera, and my shooting skills, didn't suck so bad our I would have had some great shots. As it stand when I get back in the states next week I will post some of my poor attempts. I will be in London for the rest of the week doing as little work as possible.
