There's nothing like a silent killer, the guy who enters a 24/7 kark inf server and rapes anything in his path, yet doesnt type or say a word about it. Sadly I don't see this very often. Alot of good players seem to enjoy rubing it in when they get kills. It's really not neccasary and while it may be funny for the guy doing it, it makes the player on the recieving end very unhappy and more often than not the player leaves the server pissed off. Nobody enjoys being made fun of after dieing, so please own, but own in a humble way, give the players of less skill some slack and lay off the "I ownzor u i teh 1337, nub cakes" talk.
When cursed or proded consistently by another player, do not respond back, your giving in to his need to get to you or piss you off. By not responding other players do take note of this believe it or not and you never know, you may even get a little response from another player acknowledgeing the fact that you didnt respond back.
Give praise when neccasary, if your shock paddled or knifed by another player, dont call them noobs and tell them off, give em a "nice knife!" or something like it. It gives not only the player confidence, but makes you seem like a cool guy. Nobody likes a asshat.
We all have a job to do in BF2, sure were all monstrous killing machines bread from only the mightiest of men! But we also have another job and thats to keep the experience in-game enjoyable for all. If your consistently killing one guy in the server and he's completely clueless, already 2-10 and the rounds barely started, lay off him, give him a chance to enjoy the game. This may sound like something most of you wouldn't do, but do so anyhow, give everyone the chance to enjoy Bf2 for what it is. You dont always have to be the spawn rapeing killing machine that you are.
A humble player is bound to be recognized more than the guy whos going 40-5 and getting gold medals left and right talking smack to every person he kills, or saying "Owned" after every kill.
A humble but consistent player will gain alot of recognition not only in the server, but overtime become known as a pretty cool cat in the game, and any server he/she joins people will join there squads and consistently do so. The members of his/her squad will follow you around and listen to your orders. Believe me i've experienced this and theres nothing like a squad of 6 medics, because chances are nobodys gonna end up dead for long.
So be the humble yet deadly killer that you are, show some sportsmanship, because while its just a game, its still a big part of who we are, and we dont want to make ourselves look like jerks now do we?
