Horrible problem :(

Ok So just the other day my computer started messing up here's the deal:

I turn it on after like 5 seconds it will turn off, the power light on my cases blinks I have to unplug the power cord wait like 20 seconds till it stops plug it back in and retry, Some times it will boot all the way up and sometimes it takes me like 6 tries. So when I leave it on when its working it will run I come home and it's off, I'm guessing it's probably my power supply, but who knows any ideas?

Specs:
Thermaltake 480w power supply
n force 2 mobo
amd 64 2800+ cpu
1 g corsair ram
western dig SATA drive

Yes, check your Processor fan and power supply fans.

Check for cords in and out of the computer to make sure they are all plugged in. (power to mobo)

make sure your RAM some how didnt jar loose.

unlikely, but make sure the power from your outlet is at the righT voltage?

yeah all fans are running and Ive had this computer on the same outlet for 1 year now and no probs till just the other day...

tough call. Power supply is a good bet. PSU'shave an average 100,000 hour life, but some can fail very early. No way to say without being there to look at it. I know a bit about these things, but not enough to make that call for you. find a friend or shop that knows this stuff and have them take a look at it. That's your safest bet.

Or google the shit out of your mobo and find answers that way. i've resorted to that, but took forever to find the answers. sorry, good luck buddy.

no havent moved it, its just weird how it locks up during power on and then it will freeze sometimes on the desktop if I leave it on
