Titan Mode: A Comprehensive Guide.
Basics
When you first enter the titan mode game, you will notice that you can either spawn on the titan or the ground (where the vehicles are) if its your first time playing this mode then spawn on the titan.
Once you’ve spawned please do not go try and pilot a transport chopper as chances are that you wont be used to the way they are and where to fly them. Just get into one and let someone else pilot it.
Now the easiest thing for beginners to titan mode to do is obviously to capture silos. However what most people do not know is that its not always capping silos that will get you the most points. On Shuhia Taiba (Probably made a typo but you know what map im on about) Silo 5 will almost definitely get you a lot of points if you defend that silo until the shields on the titan go down.
Now I’m not going to go into detail about squads as there is a lot of guides on them already but I will add this. If you are new to 2142 then join a squad that has someone ranked high as the leader. They will most probably know how to manage a squad. If you decide to make your own squad then DO NOT LOCK IT unlike BF2 you lose potential points by doing this. (Read Squad leader guides regarding this)
So once the shields on your titan have gone down go defend it preferably use a class that you are good with because you’ll be able to stay alive for longer. And if you choose Assault then equip the Rockets. Use the pods to get to the top lvl of the titan and go down the chutes and defend those chutes. As that’s where most of the people come from. Doing this will get you about 70-90 points, if done right and 150-200 career points if you’ve defended properly.
Manners:
• Do not punish when you get out of the transport chopper and you die, as this is in no way the fault of the pilot.
• Do not stand in front of someone elses sentry gun and then punish
• Basically do not punish unless you are absolutely sure that they tked you on purpose.
Expert
Now for experts its not too different from the basics guide, you still have to follow that. The only difference is that since you have unlocks you’ll be able to do most of the things I mention.
When the game starts off try and get in the gunship and attack the 4 enemy titan guns (twice preferably) that will get you 20-40 career points. After that chase the transport choppers and if you die then start capping silos however this time go Support and at each silo you cap. Drop an ammo bag it will give you a resupply point when the missile takes off.
When the shields drop then go support and go down the chutes (You have to unlock sentry gun, and the shield) When you go down the chute block off the corridor with the shield and sentry gun. Keep your volume high as the sentry beeps when an enemy goes in front of it. Keep moving around in the corridor as you’ll be able to see both entrances and the corridors for all the consoles if you move a bit and crouch.
Now two last bits of advice unlike battlefield 2 in this game if you go prone as soon as soon as you see an enemy its almost guaranteed that unless he goes prone aswell that you’ll die. It takes longer for the aim to adjust when you go prone then to crouch. Which is why I recommend crouching as it adjusts the cross hair a lot faster.
As you go up in rank you’ll be able unlock things however, ill just warn you about two guns first The Baur (Assault upgrade) isn’t worth the time to upgrade it, upgrade to the Voss first. For the Support do not unlock the Ganz its absolutely shit. Unlock the clark shot gun. Just because im saying don’t unlock the guns doesn’t mean you don’t unlock everything up to the guns.
I know that I haven’t gone through all the things in Titan mode but that’s because there is already guides on how to be a squad leader. This guide is for people who have been playing for a while and are still shit at it. Or want to learn how to get 200-300 career points every round.
That’s about how many career points I get every round.
