Someone came into my house while me and my mates were watching the rugby world cup final a few years ago. I can't imagine being so desparate (or stupid) that you'd actually enter a house full of drunk football fans and steal their stuff. But hey, they got away with it (a couple of wallets containing about $20 and a phone that had a SIM lock - lol) so I guess I was 'pwned' (and I'm STILL not sure pwned is a word) by a stupid crook...

Just annoying to have to pay the government even more money to replace drivers licence and all that.

My cousin had the worst case; he got his wallet stolen complete with credit cards/ID cards/etc... stuff that he can't claim back without ID. Which was in the wallet.

So, he's had to obtain a new identity. Seriously. Changed his name in order to sign up for new citizenship, he has to wait the waiting time for immigrants, and has no birth cert. Then he's got to get new credit cards, open bank accounts, re-sort his job, car license, everything.

It was stolen four months ago, and he's still techincally a nobody.

Stop right there don't say any more, I need to get my hip-waders, because the shit is getting deep.

Does this mean he looses all the money in his bank account?  Does he not have to pay his credit card bills now?  What happens to his old name, is it declared dead?  Since he is still waiting does this mean he hasn't been working and unable to drive?

they were probably just crackheads looking for something they could sell quick, or maybe they got interrupted, it's alot easier to run down the street with a ring and a watch than a tv

Get a dog.  A big one.  I own English Mastiffs.  At 236 lbs, the male I owned is a site to reckon with.  We had two "backyard shoppers" jump the fence to pilfer whatever they could.  I heard "Duke" bark, which only happens when completely neccessary.  When I got there, one fencejumper was pinned against the fence by the dog.  He had soiled his shorts so bad it was leaking out the cuff at the ankle.  His friend had made it over the fence and was three yards over by the time I saw him.
