I use a dual analog controller for my basic movements, up, down, strafe left, right, to use with my left hand while i shoot and aim with the mouse........ the only problem is, when i release the analog stick, i realized that my targeting sights dont close in like they should, its like im constantly moving (imperceptibly slowly) but the controller set up kicks ass, the only time i need to hit the keyboard is to reload, check my score, or change seats while driving... everything else i can fit on the directional pad change kits/go prone/enter vehicle/parachute (shoulder buttons are sprint and jump)... so does anyone know of how i can fix this because my accuracy is suffering greatly and ive been playing for 1.5 years and never realized that the guns were actually at least twice as accurate if i could get this fixed i would own!!!!!!!

- Does anyone else use a dual analog controller???
Why dont you just use the analog controller the whole time? Your talking like an Xbox or PS2 type controller right?
yea, you cant aim as well with an analog as you can with a mouse... (at least, i can't) but aimings not the problem, its the gun sights, i go prone and its like im still moving because my analog stick doesnt settle at exactly dead center
i do but only for toca3 ...
its funny i uses to do that when i first played fps (quake1) ...

It sounds like its just out of calibration?
While we are talking about game controllers does anyone know of a good company that makes an adapter to use my PS2 controller on the computer?

Yeah, re-calibrate your controller by going to the Control Panel and opening Game Controllers.VicktorVauhn wrote:

I have one, but I don't remember what company makes it. I just bought it at Radio Shack, it was like 15 bucks. While we are talking about game controllers does anyone know of a good company that makes an adapter to use my PS2 controller on the computer?
after i calibrate it, after about ten minutes its already off center, and wandering........ were talking .002 thousandths here, thats why my crosshairs wont close up... i just bougth a new dual analog today to replace my old one, but it sucks! its a Game-Elements Recoil dual analog... the d-pad doesnt respond all the time so i go to get in a vehicle and it wont let me in, i have to press it ten times and by then someone else has taken it. my other one is a GF USB Game pad, and its actually not that bad except for the fact that i have about 450 hours on it which is why i replaced it..... but this crosshair thing is driving me nuts... im probably going to switch to a wasd keyboard type controller actually i already ordered a BELKIN F8GFPC100 Nostromo n52 SpeedPad 19.00 at newegg.com
i cant calibrate it more that .002 pixels??, I guess Dice would have to do something from there end, (from there point of view not moving =0.00 = close up crosshairs, and .002 is > 0.00 so im pretty much fucked), if your using your dual analog shut it off and see if the crosshairs close up, you might be dealing with what my problem is and not even realizing it (it took me 1.5 years to figure this out)
i use a gamepad to fly helos if i have a gunner keyboard/mouse if im solo
and i use a gamepad to fly jets but i suck ass at jets and i would be alot worse if i didnt have the gamepad
when i first started playing i tried to use a gamepad (i used to be a strickly console gamer before bf2) because i couldnt get used to using a keyboard but i did really really bad so i went back to the keyboard and after about 50-75 hours i finally got used to it
but i really like the gamepad for helos i find i have a whole lot more control with it compared to kb/m but its very hard, and a pain in the ass, to switch between the gamepad and mouse to shoot tv missles

the n52 its the dogs nuts m8, u'll love it ! i do.
You need to set a deadzone, ie an area where no movement happens no matter how much you move the stick in that area.
