Just unlocked this upgrade, the little beacon thing that illuminates vehicles. It's excellent, except that it's really hard to tell whether the minimap is showing a beacon, or a UAV. It makes things confusing since I don't know if an area is clear or if it's just a beacon or what. It gets worse when someone spots an enemy inside of the beacon area so it looks like it is a UAV in progress, but it's not. It'd be nice if they would make them more distinguishable, maybe a different color, or something like that.

I also agree with the idea of making the Detection Circle of PDS-1 to be a different colour.
Something like Orange would work quite nicely so that there would be no mistake between UAV (White), and PDS-1 (Orange).

When ever I use the beacon I usualy stick it to my vehicle. So it moves with me. Somthing UAVs do not do.
methinks that the pulsating ring should be blue....since the PDS-1 is also blue
wow thanks for the idea...daffytag wrote:

Yeah ive had the same experience mistaken the two.
Ever attached it to an enemy vehicle? Lol, it was an apc and i was all out of pilium rounds so I decided to use my motion mines...only to find I accidently had the pds-1 selected instead.

i have also attached it to empty vehicles....like say if i jump out of a tank to grab a walker...well i place one of those on the empty tank
and i think it should be changed color or something its quite confusing3

attaching it to your tank owns :-D
I attach it to any vehicle that I know that I am going to drive for a duration of time.D34TH_D34L3R wrote:

I try not to place it on Recon Vehicles because I know I am going to ditch those within 30 seconds, after I get to the destination.
Actually I find attaching it to the jeep thingy's rather handy when using the Pilium..StormEye wrote:

Just race around the battlefield, and if you get a tank on the radar, get behind it, jump out, shoot..
A lot of kills that way.. of course you need to keep an eye out for Walkers, they are a real pain in the ass..
Thats very true indeed, both your strategy and the walker.D34TH_D34L3R wrote:

However, MOST of the time (hope it is ALL the time but not...) the destination that I am headed usually contains an armor which I can transfer into, so I try to save one for that. I use the strategy that you have described in situations when I know all armor in IMMEDIATE vicinity are taken up (wither by teammates or enemies). Then I just become THEIR pain in the ass zipping through the battlefield unloading the H-AVR in guerrilla fashion.
Respect to a fellow guerrilla-fighter !StormEye wrote:
