i recently stumbled upon this website which allows you to change the look of all XP components, without running in the background or killing off your original xp images and styles etc. the site is

www.crystalxp.net and you can go and get full conversions for your XP system, such as getting a linux look or vista without getting vista, and then further mod your new look with different components and theme packs.

for those that are interested, go to bricopacks on the site, and then choose one you want, and if you want to further customise it go to gallery after getting it.

Yeah thats a good site, also check out www.wincustomize.com has heeps of skins for different programs.

NO NEED FOR EXTRA SOFTWARE

Free, does not eat resources, .... simply patch your uxtheme.dll which will allow you to use any msstyle. Microsoft restricts this out of the box, this breaks that restriction.
