For me the only difference between wake island and gulf of oman is the style of the HUD. And once youve spent 80 hours only flying f35 and j10, getting in a bomber is so satisfying. normally im like oh yay 4 kills off one bomb. then all of a sudden im seeing 7+ kills per run, its great

I agree. Wonderful chopper map. Limited AA to worry about, only real worry are the jets.
Good armor fights, unless bombers bombing you 24/7.

I hate wake island, whenever i play it, i always join to see a J-10 bombing the ship with the pilot having 40 kills and 0 deaths. Which makes me want to leave and not play it anymore because inever get the jet or the chopper and when i do i get teamkilled by some high ranked guy... If not then 5 people standing infront of my jet ready to punish.
I like wake more than oman, but I went through a little oman phase. I like using the F35B to gun down the bombers, its so much fun to see them start swerving around even after theyve caught fire! I liked the bombers too.
But the infantry combat is more "tactical" in oman than wake, but is a bit boring.

Kubra Dam is sweet (mig vs. f18) but I have a hell of a time bombing on that map lolz. Wake is the easiest map to kill people in a J-10, nowhere for anyone to really hide (chopper, infantry, clear skies, no real elevation changes). The only thing you gotta watch for in the J-10 is AA or losing the airstrip.
Oman is awesome.. just because.
If I'm in a jet mood I have to go MEC on Oman (yes I'd rather fly as MEC on Oman than PLA on Wake). Gotta love those bombers and the Mig still easily handles the F35s. Choppers and groundpounding I'd go with wake. Oman's got too much armor for groundpounding and although I love the cannon on the Havok, it's too slow...though I usually do alright in any chopper with a decent co-pilot.

Anything can happen there! Usmc can be 150 tickets short on Pla, and just cap all the flags in 2 minutes. It`s awesome! One of the most fun things in bf2 is to be Usmc on wake, provided you have good teamwork and commander.

I have like 45 Hours on it..
All of it spent in a Tank, APC, Heli, or a Jet.
I guess I never thought of it but I agree. Oman is better than Wake in every way except for infantry.
