Okay this is nothing new to some of you but I have seen or paid attention recently that when commander is losing he/she will relieve themselves and switch teams to get the win ratio, this is actually new to me. Again if you've read some of my posts, I don't understand what the deal is with personal stats if you aren't honest with yourself you haven't gained anything. Or when a pilot dies and respawns and says :" don't touch my plane!" or "that's mine" it's not directed towards me, but I see it and kinda wonder. People shooting each teammate for planes/vehicles is downright ridiculous, don't we lose tickets for that? Has anyone else seen such crap. I guess it doesn't bother me, but when I read some of these posts of bragging or people saying others suck, I know see SOME are dishonest. But who cares. Thanks for the vent, and sorry for posting.
i once had the same whit an attack chopper , i was so pissed i C4 the chopper the whole game till he left , ok it costed me points , but after the round everyone was free to use it
commanders aren't the only ones that switch at the end. most fags do too!

Im not agreeing with it,however i can see their point,as the win loss ratio to win the war college ribbon is a bitch,i think it might take me forever
I play mostly on full 32 player servers, where once the teams are even no-one is allowed to switch, so i don't switch either.
The War College ribbon takes a lot of time. Some people will never get it. Just forget about the damn ribbon and have fun, win or loose. My best score was on a map where we lost, and I had a shit load of fun.

No easy way to solve that problem. One way that has been suggested is, if you die in a tank, plane, APC or helo, you wait 25 seconds to respawn and the vehicle respawns before you do. That way others can use it.imdead wrote:

Problem is, you'll see MORE people camping for vehicles, and probably more TK'ing.
Yep...but the stats system makes tickets unimportant. Stats are more important than teamplay and winning to a shitload of people, and people know they can whore it up in tanks/APCs/planes/helos. So, they TK, take the ticket loss, and rack up points for themselves.imdead wrote:

One solution I've seen is, if you TK a teammate, you can't enter a vehicle for 30 seconds. That would solve the problem of TK'ing for vehicles pretty damn quick.

The whole awards thing is all a bloody marketing ploy by EA. Keeps people around for other things they want to market / sell. Briefly tempts me to consider going back to CS ... but only oh so briefly...
There was another topic about the WCR and people team jumping for stats. I had a simple solution to the problem. All EA would have to do is make it so that you can only manually change teams in the first 2-3 minutes at the beginning of the round. After that the only way to move to the other team is if AB does it for you.

Speaking from experience, a buddy of mine and I were in the jet in Operation Clean Sweep as MEC, keeping the USMC from taking the first main base. We get rammed by a teammate, and the jet gets stolen as we respawn, and run over as we try to run up and jump in. Long story short the team loses all the bases, and the commander spends the rest of the round spamming "Can anybody fly a jet well?" So while this doesn't apply to everyone, there are a few people who try and keep the jet because they can be effective and an asset to the team. Unfortunately it can be difficult to seperate the padders from the team players.
As for Autobalance, it still switches my squad members (not SL, just SM) when we are playing as a team. So unfortunately autobalance is a flawed system at best, just making sure the teams are even (which sometimes it can't even do that)

I always thought the win or loss was determined by wich team you played with the most time.Does switching teams actually give you the win?
i never switch teams mid-game. its just wrong. its like switching sides in a war. you know what they do to traitors during war time? firing squad.
they should make it such that if you swap intentionally you get docked 50 points.

Maybe EA can just change the req. for the WCR .. if everybody had it after 5hrs. of command then what would be the point in switching??
I'm not saying its smart..but look what they did with the ranks and unlocks. I went from a 21000pt. Corporal to a First Sergeant when that patch came out. So changing the req is totally do-able.

Yeah and so many people will get pissed off because they 'EARNED' the WCR.
Put it this way I can't think of a single person with a legit WCR. Even if you're the best pilot/tanker/commander combined in the world, you can't play for the rest of your team. My friend and I tried to get nearer to the WCR by playing 16 player servers only. Still nowhere near. What's more 32/64p servers.

Right.. you said it.. "a legit WCR"... What about all the people who put in the countless hours to gain rank only to have it vaporized in a single update..
I'm not saying they should do it. they probably wont.. but it might help if the Win/Loss wasn't really a factor.
