have i been hardware banned? i downloaded the game over EA downloader i go to open it up. doesnt work. restart. doesnt work. tried starting it in any way. didnt work.

What you can do:
Redownload it, if thats an option...the one you downloaded could be corrupted (This happend to my 2142 demo, I redownloaded it and she worked)
Reinstall
Take a stick of RAM out and tried (had an installtion error where it wouldn't install, I took a stick out and all worked perfectly)
...if all else fails..

try chucking your computer against the wall, that always helps.
