yes, because if they used a standard language, it should be something that uses an alphabet of 26 letters, not like, a billion. and english is second most used, to chinese, and chinese sucks.

Basically, I think that the world's language system shouldnt be standardised. Why? We need to maintain our historic culture. In additon, it would be totally inpractical becasue it would cost too much and the majority of people are already incapable of speaking english.White-Fusion wrote:

so, you mean create a standard version of english? because thats pretty lame. usually i think standardizing english refers to forcing every person on earth to learn a language, having it be standard have you ever read the Ender series by Orson Scott Card? well in it, the world is attacked by aliens, so they must pull together the world into a unified body to defend themselves, and in the process, create English as the standard language, though other countries still learn their own languages. That way they can all communicate, because the best and brightest are chosen from all over to lead them in the attack on the aliens.
