i was thinking. why is it that u have to meet a time requirement for a medal, or badge, before u can get the kills in a round. why would it matter that i play 100 hours for a Expert badge and then get the 44 kills as that kit. if i can kill that many people b4 the time is up why could it not be checked off. my only conclusion is that u have to comit the time to "learning" and then taking the final test. still if i could meet the time and the kills in the same round WHY NOT. i had the time and the kills for basic Avaitor but did not get it until i play again and get the kills again in a different round.

your thoughts?

it makes sense, otherwise it would be way too easy to get all of the expert medals.  i don't think it's the "learning" the kit so much as it's the investment of time in that kit.  and, from a marketing standpoint, it keeps people playing the game.

That says it all right there.

It's like getting Expert Helo Badge your first time in a chopper, just because u happen to get the MI28 gunner seat on Sharqi and racked up 24 kills. It doesn't mean your expierenced with 5 minutes at it. Gotta spend time learning, It's kind of a "Been there done that" thing.

QFT

You can kill 40 people, but you still may not have any idea how to properly utilize the equipment you're given.  At 100 hours I would hope that you had enough experience to know what your doing with that kit.

It cuts down on stat padders getting expert medals.

i agree that is true. however to be clear i was not saying that if i can just kill 44 people that i should get the expert badge. just that the kill requirment was meet so why not have it checked off, but still require the 100 hours. stats padding and keeping people in that game are good points. either way, b4 time is meet or not there are going to be stats padders and still having to play the kit hours will keep people playing, well me for sure.

There are no kills for basic aviator, only time.

my bad. i did not see that when i read it over. it should have been Vet Avaitor. thanks for pointing that out. it was the vet that i had meet the time for and then today i got the kills (12).

i thik he means that he wants the kills IAR recorded like the time. example:

i earn 'x' number of kills for 'y' badge before i get the time requirement.
then once i hit 'z' number of hours, i get 'y' badge without re-killing 'x' number of people.

Makes the most sense and to me makes the time requirements reasonable...

Most likely the real(or biggest) reason...(not to say they don't also think of them  or an experiance thing)

And I must say, that even with 100 hours one is no expert..... Far away from that... Was it 400 or 500 hours in the beginning???

Now that sounds like expert numbers.....
I mean, I am a so called "expert", I have the gold badge in all the kits, but does that makes me an expert??...nope!!!!!
I still have much to learn in every kit....

Does it mean that you are an expert when you are a colonel...??? NOPE!!!
They die as easily as a newbie corporal when they get a burst of 7,62´s in their face!!!!

Ok, I could go on with these shitty thoughts for hours, but my point is: Don´t worry about the stupid badges and medals, they will come some day, and even if you get them (trust me), You are not going to have any more respect on the battlefield or in the civil life!!!!
Play the game as it is meant to be played!!! To have fun and spending some good time with the guys!!!!
In the beginning I also wanted to be a E-BLING-BLING guy, but now I have noticed that good fights with nice teamwork and a victory as a outcome is good enough for me!!!!

The only thing I have as a goal is climbing to the top 10 chopper gunners some day, but that is also a sort of thingy I do next to all the rest. The primary object is to have fun and bring death to the opponents with style and have a nice time on the field with the guys!!!! Stuff that makes you feel good...

Ok, to be honest it´s off course fun to get a medal now and then, but I´m not playing the game just to get the medals.... That means that some day the game play would end when I have everything...
There is not going to be anyone out there rolling out the red carpet in a server when you enter and have all the medals... Like "wow!!!.. There´s that guy, he is so hot right now, he has all the medals!!!"
Sorry..never gonna happen....
Just enjoy the game, and on my signal, UNLEASH HELL!!!!!

Jesus...why did I write all this in the first place??? Serious shit I´m smoking here....

Well, anyway, enjoy your stays on the battlefield boys!!!!!

I have spoken!!!...a lot of crap....

the medals and badges keep me going. bc i am in a clan so pratice is not a choose but a mission. i guess the grip is that a badge says X number of kills in a round then is should say after Y hours then the kills or make the kills could anyway then meet the hours. let EA decided.
