For several unlock trees, I don't see the point of getting the final gun. For example, in the support tree I was thinking of getting everything up to the Sentry Turret and the advanced ammo hub, and use the stock support guns. Is this a good idea? From what I hear, the Ganz sucks and the Clark is too situational.

For the sniper tree, I don't see any point in going beyond the 4x scope. The Zeller also seems useless since most people wear armor and it has less ammo. Also, is the stabilizer better than the scope? I would not want to give up APMs to have both a scope and stabilizer.

And, finally, we have the Engineer anti-air gun tree. I don't see the point in choosing the anti-air rockets over anti-tank, but every unlock before it seems good...especially the motion mines.

the AA tier for Anti tank is good, but If you want real effective AT work, get the Pilum. Other than that, the unlock guns (minus the ganz, Mitchell AA, Zeller) are great guns.

It is a good idea Fancy 'cause if you really want to use the unlocks you can get them with Field Upgrades. I've started doing that, I have everything but the Baur in that Assault tree and have started working on another tree rather than go after the gun.
I'd advise you to get the Carbine though.

I've done that for the Lambert, Ganz, Zeller-h, and the Anti-Air.

Why?

cause if i want to use them, I'll just field unlock them..

Then when i get some unlocks i'll unlock the guns I want, and not waiste it on a shitty unlock that i will  never use and that I hate.

The Zoom Scope is like the Medic and Ammo Bag Upgrades..

It doesn't take up a Space in your Inventory.. You spawn with it.


Also, The Scope Stabilizer works with the Lambert Carbine.. Really awesome Combo since the Carbine has very little recoil.

It might be worth to check out the Zeller. It's still not 1 hit kill, but you can take out many explosives using it. You can clear mines, claymores, C7 by just shooting them once. It's very useful once you get into the enemy titan to clear the traps they put. Other than that, I agree with you.

I also always leave the guns locked, and try them few times as field upgrades.
The engys AA gun is realy on of the last unlocks one should get.

4x scope is automaticly equiped for snipers. It does NOT take up space in your inventory. Stabiliasor does, but you only realy need it for headshots or for realy long range shots. I preffer C7 instead.

And one shot kills with zeller do happen. Since it does around 80-90 dmg. And it makes a kick ass sound compared to other snipers

My last four kit unlocks are the Voss, Baur, SAAW and the Ganz. Didn't want em, didn't unlock em.

good call, the sniper rifle zeller is ok, just have to go for head shots, and thre guy will drop like a pile of shit, but not always east without the scope, so again its up to how you play, if you intend on just camping out and defending a flag clays and scope if not clays and rdx...

as for the greesmonkey!!! mate the anti air gun rocks. say for instance ya in a tank, taking a flag all alone, and you get commander spotted, for the guy in the halo, they are so cockey they come up behind you fire like hell at ya using all there ammo only for you to hit ya defence , you get out ya tank with your anti air and let rip, ok so it wont always take them down 1st of all, but they always come back and by that time you have reloaded, repaired your tank and taken the flag, and all they have done is fly around in a massive circuit, so when they come back yes they will die
