We just switched on our project to using VMWare over VPC. I could never find anything redeaming about VPC, which do you use/prefer and why?
VMware is more powerful, Virtual PC doesn't really match the specs when it comes to VMWARE and handling resources. VMware just about works just as well as the HOST machine does, think about it anyways microsoft is NOTORIOUS for memory leaks, and shitty resource management. would you really want to take chances like this on your virtual machine? VMware has more experience in the game, they're just more trusted when it comes to business' and their critical data. I'm not totally bagging VPC, it's still a pretty nice application not to mention it's about $80 cheaper. But my personal preference and how I choose VMWARE. I've been using it for 6 years now, it's also the choice of the corporation I work for as well as several others. They both offer trial versions, why not test both of them. It really boils down to personal preference, VMWARE's benchmarks are better than VPC's but not by a huge scale.jsnipy wrote:
