Whenever I run certain applications (i.e. games) my comp starts to crash to blue screen.

the blue screen says something about drivers being not equal, and when I look into the "system recovered from serious error" it leads me to the file c:/documentsandsettings/[username]/localsettings/temp/WER434c.div/sysdata.xml and c:/documentsandsettings/[username]/localsettings/temp/WER434c.div/mini111306-05.dmp

can some one please help. Thank you in advance.

when I opened the minidump it was filed with unreadable text, and I have a single core processor.

Run memtest86

Sounds like a RAM problem

Depends on where those programs load in memory.

Edit: Crap Cleaner has a pretty good registry scanner, try http://ccleaner.com

Try CCleaner for a Reg cleaner.  If it's spyware in the Reg, go for HijackThis.  Be careful what you delete though.

ewido is the best malware scanner I've found. (they just got bought out by AVG but the software is still ewido)

When I get the blue screen it says this:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

and also at the bottom:

nvata.sys - adress F73EC6ED base at F73EB000, Date Stamp 43052d35

any other suggestions will be thanked.

Had the same problem.
Installing new Audio and Graphics drivers didn't help. Wasn't a RAM prob.
Ended up formatting and re-install of XP.
Problem solved.
