ya thats true, the pain will start after the initial shock wears off, and then the pain begins. It will get worse after the damaged nerves start to heal. Lack of blood just means he didn't cut any major arteries and veins, which means he's damn lucky, a cut the the femoral artery would mean he would have bled to death in front of the camera.
