So, inventing something that already exists makes it right...
First car wasnt really made in USA, but we knew how to make several of them.
First computer wasnt really made in USA, but we were first to make it electronic.
Come on, be spesific.. Yelling 'We invented the moon!' makes people just angry, I dont know what thread starter thought, but I thought this was just for real inventions, not their extracts.
But sure, if you want to stay on that path:
First toothbrush was invented most likely in asia, but first to make it electronic was Switzerland.
And btw, the first mass-produced toothbrush was invented in england, but USA was first to patent it. So USA invented the toothbrush.
