As can be seen in my picture, I'm having a problem with installing the update for my driver which, as the Directx Diagnostic Tool displays, is just a *bit* old. When I downloaded the driver, I went to
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
And then since I have a Nvidia GeForce Go 6200 I selected "Graphics Driver" in part 1, then "GeForce and TNT2" in part 2, and finally "Windows XP/2000" as I run Windows XP Pro. Using Firefox, it downloads without a hitch, but when I go to install it I get the message in the upper left of the image (I just put the DirectX Diagnostic Tool in there to show that I do indeed have a Nvidia driver installed) and so is my plot... anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong?
EDIT: If it helps, my system specs: (it's a sony laptop)
CPU: Intel Pentium M processor 1.73 GHz
RAM: 1022 MB
OS: Microsoft XP Pro w/ SP 2
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce Go 6200
--> Driver: running dxdiag gives me version 6.14 and date 2/17/05
--> Driver: right clicking Nvidia in device manager: V 7.0.8.3, date 2/17/05... apparently my computer is confused on the driver version...
