Anyone else having a problem where their forward/reverse key bindings don't stick after exiting the game?

- Forward / Reverse key bindings won't stick
I have that problem binding '7' (Frag grenades) to anything... I use my number keys to switch weapons, and I can't seem to make that conscious leap from using a keyboard key to rolling the mouse-wheel to select grenades... Hand contortion isn't my forte. =\
I have a very unusual keyboard configuration when playing FPS, and I do have a "reset" going on with my forward/backward buttons.
I use right-click to go forward, and backspace to, hem, backup, but since I cannot have both of them together, I have to program one on "secondary button" and it always remove itself once i start bf2142 again. But then, I got used to it.
A = jump/"chute
s = strafe left
d = strafe right
r-click = forward
l-click = main shoot
m-click = reload
e = use/enter vehicle
q = secondary fire
shift = run
x = crouch
c = prone
h-j-k-l = communication buttons
f = next weapon

Yes, tried, many times, can't. Reason is I leanred to play FPS using this configuration ages ago on a friend's computer, and got stuck with it.zeidmaan wrote:

Key bindings seem to stick better if you do them when not connected to a server.
I can set them right before I exit the game (disconnected from server) and when I log back in (not even been to the multi-player screen) they are cleared out. Seems only to be with the Accelerate/Decelerate bindings and the Cycle Weapons. Everything else sticks. I sent EA a support request...not very hopeful but if they do come up with something I'll post here to help others who've had this issue.
Funny thing is, I remember this happening with the BF2 Demo but the BF2 Full fixed it...so when I had the problem with the BF2142 Demo, I assumed it would be fixed when I bought the retail but it didn't. And yes, I uninstalled the Demo and deleted both the install directory and the BF2142 folder in My Docs.
Thanks for the help guys...keep the ideas coming.
