Seperate account system (BF2 = GameSpy). It's now tied to EA.com / EA Downloader / etc. I logged in with that account and it worked fine.

Because while it's a pain now, it's much nicer to have everything tied together. I can now login to the game, site, and the downloader with the same account.

Well, you stated that each account can have different players, so does this mean that each of that players have the same stats/unlocks etc. as your main account?

more importantly, When I don't like the name I have with my EA.com account, can I use a different name in the game ?

because when I registered with EA, my player name was already taken....

EA.com usernames log you into the game. After that, you create a player profile. You can have multiple profiles per account.

let me know if I get this straight...:

You login with EaDownloader nick, it will let you into the game...BUT you have to set up a profile.

So basically you have to login twice before killing noob
