Anyone know of a good freeware/trial-able graphing software for the PC?

I'd write my own program for what I want but I have better things to do.

Pretty much i'm trying to find a graphing program that's easy to read, clear and concise. Able to produce multiple graphs of different colors on one plane, for example, and is easy to look at and see what's happening.
As for technicality, just standard f(x) planar graphing.

Any recommendations before I go searching teh internats?

Sure.  Just write "Cartesian" in as one of your variables...

I've been wondering about something similar. Except mine would be in case I forgot my calculator a la escuela.

I made a program like this in computer science but I never ended up compiling it last year and it was wiped from my harddrive at the end of the year so I guess you could try making your own...  In physics I use Graphical Analysis, but I know it isn't free, but I am sure you can find it somewhere for free.

Edit:  Here is a demo: http://www.vernier.com/downloads/ga3demo.html
This program is very usful, it can make fits with many types of fcns (quadratics, cubics, quartics, etc), it can find tangents, and lines of best fit.  Makes early calculus easy.  : p

How about Open Office?  I know that OpenOffice.org Math does formulas, but I am not for sure it is graphs them or not.
