Actually Valve cares about their CSS and kept updating it for over 2 years now. They also have other FPS titles that have gotten loads of updates though now their older CS version have completely stopped in terms of updates.

Blizzard have been updating some of their games in 5 whole years or more before they finally released the final. Though Blizzards games are mostly RTS and RPGs but still 5 years is a long time.

EA ain't the only company that cares for their game you know.
Then play them and quit bitching in BF forums?
Did you even read my post?

I never whined about EA being bad or they don't care about their own games. You should take some time to read it through. Specially the last sentence.

Ok first it is about FPSs. I am not talking about RTSs so that is completely irrelevant. You're reaching for a valid point to argue. As for my comment. I didn't say, "EA/DICE is the ONLY company that cares about their game." I said they do the most. Don't try and twist my comment to validate yours.

As for steam and CSS. I quit that game long ago. Don't know how many times I would find a sniper off somewhere shotting through the walls or tiny little soldiers running around. I think I can go the rest of my life without playing on Dust too. Day of Defeat as well.  Just weak mods of HL.

So basically, RTSs? not the subject. EA/DICE only cares. Never said that.

Battlefield 2142 is more balanced than anything BF2 ever had to offer.  I win my point and case by just mentioning the "shudders" J-10, or the armor whores that managed thirty, forty, fifty plus killing sprees in one freaking tank...or APC, depending on the situation.  Armor is easy to kill now; you shoot them in the ass, they are going down with one or two hits.  Jet's are very killable now, though I must admit the EMP missiles do need to be nerfed just a little bit considering I have crashed into the mountainsides enough times to push the future earth out of it's natural orbit.  The classes feel more balanced, and customization improves the overall experience tremendously.  The game is overall more smooth, and the no titan movement after shields drop, while a temp fix, means commanders should be more tactical with where they put the titan.  And with every big launch, there are always going to be bugs...some bigger than others.

Think of it this way: when they ran the beta, they fixed hundreds, if not thousands of bugs, which probably would have made it into the main game if they hadn't called on us for help.  Finding every single bug takes time...if you find a bug, point it out, they will fix it...after digging through hundreds of thousands of lines of code...it's not freaking easy.  If you're gonna keep bitching about 'omg the game has so many glitches' I challenge you to fix it yourself; or go play Counter Strike...or Quake IV.  lol.

Only one thing. Support kits aren't balanced.

You said that EA/Dice paid more attention to their BF series than any other companies does to their FPS games and you where wrong because Valve does that to.

Beside it really doesn't matter if it's RTS or an RPG because they still have glitches and bugs.
Btw you are most likely confusing CS 1.6 with CSS with the shooting through wall things. CSS is an improvement of CS 1.6 imo. Btw Steam is just the program Valve are the ones doing the updates.

I think 2142 is great.

I'll probably play it longer than i did Bf2 anyway.

What people refer to as lag on the Titan isn't exactly lag. It's the same as when you jump on top of a moving tank, you will eventually slip off, it's the way the engine is coded. Just thought I'd bring that up.

Support is born to camp, they have a distinct advantage on the titan, I won't disagree.  Half the time I won't find a single support guy around on non-titan maps, even when I'm screaming for ammunition after desperately fighting off half the enemy team.  It truly sucks that most people only go support for defense, sitting behind shields and waves of sentry guns that make it impossible to blow the reactor panels.
