Cyprus is an island!! Qatar is connected to Saudi Arabia?? Im pretty sure.. and as far as i know Qatar like many countries in that area relies on its Oil etc for its economy?! Im certain for that reason it would be considered rich for its oil supply?!?

I've got Qatar : 1.04 million barrels/day
Kazakstan : 1 million barrels/day
Azerbaijan : 460'000 barrels/day
Uzbekistan : 30'000 barrels/day
Though Syria doesn't feature in that list I know they produce over 500'000 barrels a day, so they might be up there.
Qatar and Kazakstan are clearly at the top though.
