Hi, recently formatted n reinstalled windows, then installed bf2 and patched up to 1.4 then 1.41. In either case i couldn't get it to start (splash screen came up and nothing happened, it still ran in the processes though). Anyway i tried everything from reformatting to reinstalling and different patch versions, searched high and low for an answer, but the only one that worked for me was to just go into the profiles folder (My documents/battlefield 2/profiles/) and deleting everything in it. Right after i did that, game started no problem.
