Hi there, I am trying to get my VOIP to work but i get this problem: after a min or 2 in a round the VOIP just turns itself off. I notice on the squad screen my little microphone icon is off but this dosent happen to anyone else. I have tried the alt tab to sound board and unmute the microphone thing but that dosent work. Are there any other things i can do to try and fix this? And yes, I have made sure that i click the little box that says enable voip, i am not a complete idiot.

I've actually never had an anti-virus on my machine, but I occasionally use a friend's disk to scan and have never had an issue. I make it a habit to reformat every few months though, which I understand isn't possible for many people.

Okay, i have disabled antivirus and i still get the problem. Any other things i should do? I have two different microphones so i know that it is not the hardware's fault.
what kinda mic ru using? is it like a usb one or something? if so then u need to configure it through cpanel>sound and audio.

i too have this problem...i have a mic that goes directly into the mic port...its brand new...works fine outside bf2, once using it in bf2....it disappears...even if i run teamspeak aswell...teamspeak keeps working...

I did try that but it didn't work, for me anyways. I have Creative Sound Live 24, and it works when it wants. I had time when one round it warks fine and the other time when my squad mates telling me all they hear is scraching. I did what you posted on forums badhq, great work btw, but it has not work for me. I think it's a gema difect and hope EA Gods are listening and they can fix this unoing bug.

No, just regular one. Logitec chat headset, could not find serial number. I've also noticed it does what it does when TS is on, but than again goes on and off round after round.

Yes, done that as soon as I instaled sound card.

that tip does seem to work but every now and then...(usually mid game *sigh*) it resets back to where it was before...and yes...i did save settings.i might just reinstall bf2
