fuck me then about the vid card lol, im rather stupid when it comes to computer parts and such. monitor size is something like 10.5 inches by 13.5 inches. hope that helpsTheEternalPessimist wrote:

Thats a pretty tiny monitor, 1024x768 is ok for a 14" monitor like that.
1280x1024 if it turns out to be 17". 75Hz is pretty standard for everything.
Size is measured diagonally BTW not side to side.

Well I only have an x800XT PE so try my settings. They're way below what my card can handle but I use them because they help highlight player models, but being so low your card should be able to do it without trying, like mine does.
1280x1024@75Hz
Terrain = Low (see textures)
Effects = Low (coz i don't care what explosions look like)
Geometry = High (increases the range at which vehicles and other objects are rendered at as well as making stuff look nice)
Texture = High (High detailed player models on low detail terrain makes people easy to see)
Lighting = Low (removed most static shadows, so no where for people to hide)
Dynamic Shadows = Low (a blob is as good as a perfect outline for giving a guy away)
AA = x2 (pretties it up a bit)
Texture filtering = High (as above)
If your game lags using those setting you've got problems, Given descriptions of why thing are set to what they are so you can fiddle with them to suit yourself.
