Hi,

I currently have this card: eVGA 256-P2-N376-AX GeForce 6800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16

And I was wondering if I need the same exact card for Sli...

I found one with the following info:
EVGA nVidia GeForce 6800GT 256MB TV/DVI PCI-Express Vid

That one has the same picture on the card and looks the exact same, would it work with my computer?  Let me know!  THANKS in advance for the help!

Maybe if you wait more than 8 minutes!  Something like a day to get a few replies, yeeeeeesh.  Now, I am of the opinion it should work, better to ask guys who know more specifics on it I guess.  But I'm sure it will

LOL, I want to buy it soon.  Thats why I was so impatient!

Anyway, I found the answer on the AMD forums.  Here is the link for anyone who is interested.

There should be no problem with it as long as you have the same manufacturer and size(which you do)

And in any case, SLi is so advanced you don't even need to have those either, you could plug two completely different cards in and it would work as long as there wasn't compatibility issues.

Say, a BFG 6600GS 128 and an eVGA 6800GT 256. The only thing would happen is that the 6800 would downsize itself to fit with the 6600 so you would lose GPU power.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. To run SLi the cards need to be the same type, like 7800GT x 2. A 6600 series and 6800 series will not work together.

From the link in the post above:

Can I mix and match graphics cards?
In order to provide optimal symmetric scaling, SLI technology requires the NVIDIA GPUs to match. For example, a GeForce 7800 GTX must be paired with another GeForce 7800 GTX. Likewise, a GeForce 6600 GT must be paired with another GeForce 6600 GT. However, using the latest Release 80 or later graphics drivers, NVIDIA GPUs sold by different manufacturers can be used together in an SLI configuration. For example, a GeForce 7800 GT from vendor ABC can be matched with a GeForce 7800 GT from vendor XYZ.
You can mix manufacturers, memory size and clock speeds, but both cards will default to the slowest speed.
