Throw away the old AKs, get with the times! The Chinese army uses Type 88's now! Yes! Type 88s in Assualt with a gernade luancher! The 88's a sniper (havn't seen on in real life yet) and as a LMG but usuaully as a assualt rifle, like a AK or a M16 or a G3......

God, EA must've got the AK idea back in the Vietnam war or something.

... I only understood half of what you're saying, but the regular forces are now using http://www.sinodefence.com/army/individual/rifle_95.asp aka the QBZ-95, which the spec ops use. For the back-country yokle armies, I'm sure they're still using t-56s and t-87 style weaponry (both based on the AK).

he was talking about hong kong, not heckler & koch.

the type 95 has not been widely adopted. when it was shown to the world in 1997 in hong kong that was more of a publicity thing. there are some problems with the design. things like overheating, ejection port problems, and other design flaws which are common in new guns. the QBZ-95 is the carbine version anyway, regular army units would use the full rifle. seems the type 81 is still the most widely used rifle.

The chinese are using type 81's, and if ea wants to keep the ak47, rename them to type 56's because that is what chinese used when it was created in 1956.

i saw a guard holding a '95 at the entrance to an army barracks when i was in Hong Kong in 2004 - man, it's a pretty awesome (and large) looking rifle in real life

the bf2 ak47 is pretty damned inaccurate outside of 100 meters.

my favorite is the QBZ-95. that thing is ridiculously accurate even on full auto. i wish it was an unlock so i could always use it.

My father build in the former German Democratic Republic (my birth-country) in an factory AK47´s for Russia.
It´s a very accurate rifle and it´s the most solid rifle of the world, even with todays standards...

100 meters is also a pretty damn near impossible shot without a scoped weapon. And by impossible I mean impossible to make with any kind of consistency.

it isnt if you take the time to aim (even with iron sights), instead of spraying and praying.

Now with the AK, it is one of the most widely distributed and used assault rifles built to date. They are still being used today in several different countries. It has been around for several decades now and will continue to be around for several more. Ok maybe give the Chinese a different weapon, but the MEC should still have the AK47.
