has anybody had much success killing vehicles with the tv missle solo? like bf2 style solo tv missling?

Its not really worth it when they dont 1 shot armor anymore
IMO wayy easier to line up a tank and shoot the missiles
They've redesigned the gunships so it's impossible to solo them...and trust me, this has pissed me off so much when there isn't a single half-decent gunner or pilot around. You drop too fast, the missiles are twitchy as all hell (you need a real steady hand to hit your target) and they are not one-shot-kills. If you're gonna solo, just use the primary missile pods, they're pretty useful on vehicles this time around.

I practiced in single player but the risk involved when soloing was bigger than the reward so I just hope for a good gunner.

Land chopper edge of building, switch to gunner seat, solo-tv (miraculously hit target), switch back, grin like a kid in a candy store...

You are soloing the wrong way, the OLD way.
Take the gunship and land somewhere where infantry cant reach you. On a roof of a building, cliff etc.
Than just slightly lift your nose up, switch seats and fire. Than you switch to pilot and just lift your nose abit, switch seats and fire. And so on. You should also go support and drop resuplies where you landed. This was you will have unlimited ammo.
I Used to do this ALOT in the demo on Sidi. I would land on the hils that are all around the map, preferably near the closest silo to the enemy uncap. Always armour and APCs comming from uncap.

Hmmm, gotta try that sometime..
sounds way to complex. i would rather use the chopper to take out those transports full of juicy kills. bang take out a transport and you can get alot of kills, usualy around 3-5 if the enemy has a halfway decent team.....
