So should we harken back to slave operated, rowed warships?
well, maybe i should be the first one to say: CONGRATS!
They require a helluva lot more skill to 'motor' than a motor-less boat, that's for damned sure!Vilham wrote:

Not everything in life is skill one-up-manship over everyone else. Some folks like to sit back and enjoy themselves sometimes. I learned to sail on a Nacra 16, and while it is fun, it's not what I want every time I go out on the water. I now live in a landlocked state, and I gotta be honest, sailing on rivers and small lakes leaves a lot to be desired, and repeatedly driving 8 hours to the coast isn't as much fun as one might think.
Did you know cars are the shittiest form of carriage? A motorcycle has to be the shittiest form of bicycle I've ever seen! They just different ways to enjoy the same kind of thing.

I won't be using it this year, but I will be keeping up in Put-In-Bay, Ohio. So next year if anyone is around that area (Cedar Point) bring beer and you are welcome aboard.

Good for you bro. Wish I still lived in minneapolis. I would have gladly travelled over with a truckload of beer. Well, by the time I got there it may have only been a half an ice chest of beer. And I probably wouldn't have remembered which direction to get home. *LOL*
Awesome boat man, Congratulations.
I have not owned a speed boat for quite a while, but I have my mind set on a 70's Jet, something sick like a Tahiti, Kona or a Glastron. Its just me the wife and our little rat dog, so we'll be tearing up the lakes here in NorCal very soon.
Look for the 30' roostertails.. heh
I can get something like this all day long around here for $3-$5k with the trailer.

and I cant wait...

Those other two boats shown are more like it.
Sail boats/Yachts are the best tbh.
Speed boats are pretty awesome too because they go realy damn fast.

You sound like some college kid who lives in an apartment, and you wish you could have the money to buy a boat.Cougar wrote:
So your boyfriend finally talked you into that Caribbean vacation huh? That's a nice little floating love nest you got there.
Anyway, I got one just like that last year, and it is a lot of fun. You can get into places bigger boats can't, yet it is safe enough for the open water.

Anyway anyboat is fun as long as you know how to use it, you can get any boat almost everywhere as long as you know how to handle it and the water-depth permits it, and boat can be safe in open water with the right captain.
Try 30. And I do have the money, but decided to buy a house instead of spending too much on a boat I will not use that much.WilhelmSissener wrote:
