For some reason my BattleRecorder is screwy.

When I play a regular BF2 map I can play a BR file just fine. I download it and it shows up on the right column where I can click to play as normal.

But my problem is when I try the same on an SF map.
I do get the bookmarks, I am able to download them, but after downloading them they do not show up on the right column where you would usually click to play them.
I'm not even showing any files from pre-1.41 patch. Nothing.
Yes, I have SF running and not regular BF2.
Yes, the file is downloaded, I see it in my My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos folder.
Yes, I've been able to do it in the past.
It's only been a month or two since I last reinstalled the game and this is the first time since reinstalling that I tried playing an SF BR.
Again, regular BF2 BR's download/play fine, SF BR's download but never show up to play.

I've never had this problem and find it really odd that it only happens with SF maps/BR files.

Any help or suggestions (other than search, I have but found nothing on this and other forums) would be greatly appreciated!

you can use the demo.cmd file to open it if you cant see it. It's EA, there isn't actually a logical reason why it does not work.

SF-files need to be under Battlefield 2/mods/xpack but I see no reason why SF shouldn't put them there itself...

I gave that a try, followed the instructions on this page and no go.

So as a last resort I copied all the files onto disk and deleted them from my PC.
Opened up SF and downloaded another file and IT WORKS! (yay)
So I went back to the My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos folder and checked the name of the file... it's demo0.bf2demo
Then I checked the names of the files I deleted and SOME are named differently... auto_2006_09_08_21_29_56.bf2demo etc. instead of demo#.bf2.demo etc.
Then I remembered that the guy that owns the server I'm a regular on sent me some BR files directly from the server... so I'm guessing that the different format of naming the files somehow screwed up the works. I replaced only the demo#.bf2demo files and now all the BR's show on the list and play as they used to.
(I'm explaining so if anyone else ever has the problem they don't have to wait a week like I did to figure it out)

I think that's only when you yourself record the demo off of singleplayer. All my files have been going to My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos when I download them from servers.

Anyway, thanks to the both of you for helping!
