I was browsing through my computer and I have 2 hard drives, a (C: ) and a (E: ). I noticed a setup file on both my drives and then a folder on just my (E: ) with a name consisting of 32 digits with randomized letters and numbers. When I open the folder there is a .txt file called msxml4 and it has a few other letters and numbers as well with a few dashes.... and it ends in -enu.... when I open the .txt file, its a loooooooong ass log with a title Verbose logging started: 11/17/2006 and it just goes forever with all sorts of action starts and ends and it has lots of times recorded etc etc... its just one huge log which speaks entirely in a different language to me =/ I'm hoping some computer tech people can help me out. I haven’t run the setups obviously =P I just need to know what the heck this all is and if it’s bad or not.

I did some searching and found that it might have something to do with

MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services)

I also found this link:

http://makemsi-manual.dennisbareis.com/logging.htm

That’s pretty much what my log is... but like I said I have NO idea what it all means lol.

Someone help me out =P All I know is I updated my windows a week or so ago with a huge update, it installed IE7 and all this other crap.

Verbose logging options are usually enabled specifically for troubleshooting because they create large log files and can slow down performance.

Try checking again at http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupda … x?ln=en-us for another update to ensure the previous update was done correctly.
If not I would try a system restore prior to the incident.

I went to that link:

"High-priority updates
No high-priority updates for your computer are available. To check for optional updates, return to our home page and click Custom."

So... my windows updated... but it didn't? =/ That is why I have two setups? Everything is running fine though and when I updated, it was just a normal update and I did'nt get any alerts saying anything failed to happen.
