you should to set it to half you gfx ram size eg.. 512=256 128=64 and so on.
Who do you want it on half?CLEVERLITTLETROJAN wrote:

i know that but there isent an option 4 384 there is 64Mb 128Mb 256Mb 512MB, +512MB 1GB +1GB. so i should set it to an even 512???
I would do that.
thx guys
I assume you mean graphics aperture size. This is the amount of physical memory (system RAM - NOT graphics RAM) that your card will use. This setting determines the size of your GART table. Whatever you set it to it won't improve performance much, don't worry about it. I did have to learn all this stuff but can't really remember it very well. Don't worry it's not very important, these days we have enough video memory to load lots of stuff into, you'll be fine.
Since you've got loads of graphics memory set the aperture size to be low. Maybe 64MB. That way your GART table is smaller which is a good thing.

I heard somewhere that BF doesn't even use more than 256MB on any video card. I also heard at the same time that you can somehow make it so it does use more than 256MB, I wish I could find that link.
