Why not just make all the Jets equal (like the tanks) instead of having uber jets like the J10. It makes it a headache to even play US anymore when you want to fly. Even a little private with 10 minutes training can avoid missiles with the J10.
All the smart pilots myself included won't even touch that piece of crap F35.
What do you guys think?
yes it is a pos and it takes great skill to beat an opponent with some skill using a j10 with it

Lets say this: I believe that if there are 2 pilots with same skills, and they are dogfighting, one using the j-10 and the other one using the f35b, the one with the j-10 would win more often. But if the guy using the f35b is better than the j-10 guy, he would win the dogfight.

No it does not bbreat a missle lock. It does however let me set up for turns at about twice the rate of a J-10. You could be turning with me and then i can roll and turn a different direction many times and ways, I'll lose you and then kill you, making you look like a noob. There are two things that are absolutely true about the F-35, esp at Wake.
1) the missile locks toward the J-10 are damn near useless
2) the 70 second spawn time, and single spawn position on the carrier, is a monster disadvantage. I frankly think it's ridiculous, and I can't understand why they have not changed it. They've changed equipment with patches ie fewer hellfires missile on chopper, BH miniguns shoot rubber now, etc...they should have reworked the spawn time for F35 on carrier to 20 or 30 seconds.
To the OP, I have to say that if you are still coming back here, days later, complaining that your missiles can't take down the J-10...you haven't been listening. Try flying in bomb mode and using the MG. Yes, it's bullshit that the J10 only has to turn to avoid missiles...but swearing off ever fighting one again is taking the easy road out. I'm not the best in a plane, but if the J-10s are killing us on Wake, I'll get in and try to fight them. I'm a sweaty mess by the end of it...but that's the fun of the game, isn't it? I had a round the other day where I ended with only eight kills, but we won and that's the important thing. My eight kills were the enemy attack chopper twice, and four J-10s. Not a lot, but all important kills.
If the enemy are just spawn raping the hell out of the carrier (takes no skill) and I ever get up, I'll try my best. But if the enemy J-10 pilot(s) are really good, and I can't take them down, I'll turn to "hassle" mode. I'll get behind them and switch to missile mode on purpose, just to let them know I'm there. I try to distract them. Fly across their nose, let them see me. If he turns to chase, I consider it a success. Sure, I might die now. But maybe I can keep him occupied for one minute or two, letting our equipment get off the freaking deck so we can make a game of it?
I don't use the plane as transport to the island, which some are suggesting. #1 I won't be able to take a base alone against a good team, esp one with a commander. #2 the long spawn rate means you have screwed the team out of a jet for about two minutes. Unless there has been a prior arrangement, i.e. you are squad leader, and squad mates are not spawning in until you hit the ground again...don't use the plane as glorified transports. Either fight with it, or let me have it LOL!
The bottom line though, IMO, if you are fighting one or two uber J-10 pilots on Wake...the best defense for USMC is to take the Airfield and hold the Airfield.

I seem to down the J10s when they are reloading, ya hae to go a tad slower to re-arm the J10 then from a far... TONE dont fire he pops flares tone FIRE FIRE FOX 1-2-3-4-5-6... nearly works..well most of the time.
any tips for a wanna be pilot >>> Aerial Service Ribbon air to air is getting better (if i stay ! pilot IAR wich never happens !!!!) air to ground >>> DONT GET IT !!! BF1942 was a lot easier with planes spawning almost every 10 seconds ...dropping Bombs ?? how they do it ? the " crosshairs" for dropping bombs can any good pilot explain it to me ?
