WEll i can run everything on max but i want perfomence, and i dont talk about fps or any lag but about gameplay. u guys are stupid because when u actually but dynamic_shadow and dynamic_light on max, u lost view over distance or dark areas. Its better to put it on med even if its a bit less realistic.
Huh your wrong.
Lighting is the setting which casts the shadows for buildings thus allowing players to hide in there shadows.
Dynamic shadows only casts shadows for moving objects (i.e the word "Dynamic"). Dynamic Shadows has no effect on viewing ability, only lighting does.
And secondly Dynamic Lights can reveal a players position in a buildings shadow, so for anyone with lighting on medium or higher, dynamic lights is a must have, and its performance hit is far less than dynamic shadows. But anyone with a nice sized monitor can see a player in a buildings shadows.
And 3rdly were not stupid because we enjoy running the game at higher settings.
So while having lighting on "low" does allow you to see better, its not something a player must do.
You might want to get your facts straight before you call people stupid.
So to sum it all up, the Dynamic settings in no way effect a players ability to see other players, only lighting does.
