xpertvision geforce 7600gs
corsair 1gb ddr2 ram value select pc-4200, 240 pin ddr2 non-ecc unbuffered

With my 7600 GS I can run Bf2 on 1680 x 1050 on 99fps.joker3327 wrote:
Turbo cache share's system memory and is not very good at running 3d games.....withthe rest of the rig you should be able to run on Medium at a res of 800 x 600 with AA and AF turned off if youi can afford a seperate graphics card. 7300 7600 you can up the resolution to 1024 x 768 maybe higher
Remember Me As A Time Of Day
I would not recommend anything below an Pentium 820 processor. The 805 series drops you down to 533FSB where as the 820 and on up uses the 800FSB and can be overclocked very well from what I have experimented with. I would also recommend getting at least 2GB DDR2 (try to get 667MHZ mem, dont get 800MHZ you will run into bottleneck issues with the processor) memory as it is pretty cheap right now. I would also recommend spending a little extra $ and go with the 7600GT vs the GS there is an incredible performance gain by going with the GT, I have included a link that shows the benchmark results for the 7600GS vs the 7600GT. I would also recommend getting at least (1) SATA-150 10K Raptor drive. I've noticed that BF2 uses the Windows page file alot while in game, the 10K spindle speed and 16MB buffer will make a ton of difference in load time and performance. Its a little extra $ but will give you the extra added boost that you are looking for.

yeah, C2Ds require DDR2 not DDR.
you can get a nice dual core processor for about $100-$150 bucks that ll run just about anything.. i d be more concerned about ram and video card
1 gb of ram and a 7600gs whats so bad about that? what kind of settings would i run if i had a e6300 core 2 duo
High for most stuff, except textures, due to only 1GB of RAM, 2x AA. You should probably get decent frame rates on that rig with those settings.B00MH3ADSH0T wrote:

I think.
