Now that I have this X-Fi, I would like to use my microphone in the card, rather than the XBox 360 controller as I am doing right now. The XBox 360 gives everyone else bad quality of my voice, which obviously sucks. The mic that I want to use on my X-Fi has a microphone needle and an analog speaker needle. I like my 2.1 speakers which are plugged into my analog jack and not my Flexijack by the way hence the reason for wanting to use a microphone in my flexijack. So therefore I would rather not use a mono-speaker headset over my speakers.
I've already tried to put my microphone into that slot to get it to work. But it pretty much muted everything and I couldn't figure out how to unmute it and ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the X-Fi.
So does anyone know how I can pull this off. To make it easier to understand: I want to plug in my mic into the mic port and still have sound come out of my speakers plugged into the analog port.
