Ok, it's been nearly 2 years now and I have adapted to BF2's narrow field of view (FOV). But it's so restrictive it's killing the fun out of my game. Why can't this be changed like in 1942? I know some will voice your concerns that it brings an "unfair advantage" but honestly that's just crap. Increasing the FOV in BF2 will cause you to take a massive hit in frame rate. Therefore, the trade off is fair if one is allowed to.
IMO the FOV we should play in BF2 should be around 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock when facing 12 o'clock from 3 feet away. What we get now (IMO) is more close to 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock FOV facing 12 o'clock from 5 feet away (guesstimation). Now this is not an exact figure. The aim is to reflect that the FOV is too narrow and should be widen. Is there a way to do this?
