And i have to say, its very cool. Here's my review.

Installation (10/10) Very easy installation. There's no annoying 'generic' blue screen/white writting messages. It's all a very easy interface. And, i would say its much faster at installing. I let it sit and install, played a few games of DDR, and came back it was done.

Quality Of Use (8/10) So far, ive only had it installed for a few hours, but as far as i've noticed, once you get used to the setup it is fairly easy to navigate. Although learning your way around is a bit of a pain in the ass.

Similarities With Mac (6/10) Yes, its true, it does resemble Mac quite a bit, but hey, you always here people bitching about "Fuck microsoft im going to mac" So it shouldn't bother too many people

Security (N/A) Honestly i haven't played around with the security features, but i learned that Vista blocks kernal access to everyone but Microsoft.

Recommend It? (Yes) I would recommend upgrading to Vista at this point. Although i may change my oppinion once i try to put my programs back on.

Price (B.S.) Bullshit. It's nice, but not worth the $200 they want for Ultimate edition. Find a way around it.

At first i was worried that it would suck, and kind of nervous about what the installation would be like, but its very easy.

(And to anyone who is going to upgrade, let me just tell you, when you go to pick a partition, select it and hit "Drive Options" then delete the partition, and make a new one. Vista wont automaticaly overwrite your partition like i thought)

I hope this small review helps if your deciding.

$450? LOL. I use Ubuntu and it has easily more eye candy than vista hands down. The thing is called Beryl.

P.S. I had to spend $0.

For those of you who may be "trialling" (pirated) software before you buy....

I've read that Vista checks for pirated software and blocks it from working. Not sure how this would go with third party apps but I would bet it would kill and Microsoft apps.

Just a word of warning.

The same went for XP and I have it pirated and continue to DL updates and shit. MS doesn´t do secure and trusty products, believe me.

I was referring to Vista checking your system for pirated software, not Vista being the pirated software. For example, if you have a pirated copy of Office then Vista would disable it. At least that's what I've read.

I've had some issues with Vista and some programs.  But, if you smart enough you should be able to fix it right up.  As of right now I have not had to edit any files of any type to get programs working.  But I did have to follow instructions to the T to get 2 of my programs work.  Azureus and Adobe Reader, if you need help with installing those to or any other programs I am willing to help with it.    But even after all the the stuff I went through to get those 2 programs working I still love Vista and hate Macs... Irony I know...

Cost Analysis:

Plus, gotta love how big businesses steal ideas and market them for profit, yet the big bad software pirates "steal" ideas and get in trouble for using them on their own.

Right-click and go to Properties and then compatibility, and tell it to run as a Windows XP program.

Vista is pricy yes, but every piece of new software is especially when it's a new operating system. Anyway I wouldn't personaly recommend using pirated versions of windows anymore from this point onward. Merely because Microsoft is starting to jam a large padlock up your ass more more with their products if they are not legit. You can't download updates (which, lets face it, is critical if you installed Vista as soon as now) and you have the risk of one day running into a locked out message. I'm not switching to Vista yet for a while but when I do I will but an OEM version (just because I can ) and install it legally.
