Dude, you need to come out from under your rock more often. We beat this information to death, and have since found out about an additional delay.
so you found out it was coming out for the new mac pros in april? please post a link.
The R600 based cards were expected to be announced at CeBit at the end of March, and shipments available in April. As of yesterday it has been found out that the release date is being pushed back a bit further.
But to answer your initial question, this is the same picture and article that was posted some time ago. This monster version is for SiS and OEM, which would include Mac. I've not seen anything to confirm that this card was only for Apple.
This was the news as of yesterday.
February 21, 2007 - TechPowerUp brings news that ATI (erm, AMD now) will not be launching its R600 line-up next month after all. More from ATI/AMD:
"To better align our strategy with current market opportunities, we've changed the launch plan for R600. We are going to deliver a competitive configuration to market with an extremely attractive combination of performance, features and pricing, targeting a broader market segment in Q2. With the revised strategy, AMD will be better able to capitalize on the broad appeal of 3D graphics and DirectX 10, being driven in part by the growing popularity of Windows Vista™."
